Travel Essentials

These are the items that make airport day and arrival so much easier.

Packing Cubes

If you’ve never used packing cubes, this is your sign. They keep everything organized and make unpacking at a resort ridiculously simple. I separate swimwear, dinner outfits, and travel-day clothes so nothing gets wrinkled or chaotic. I can’t stand to have my shoes touch my clothes.

Travel-Size Toiletries

Even if you’re checking a bag, travel-size backups are a lifesaver for excursions or carry-on-only trips. I always bring sunscreen, after-sun lotions, and mini skincare essentials.

Pool + Beach Must-Haves

These are the things most people forget- and end up buying at resort prices.

Waterproof Phone Pouch

Pool, ocean, excursions…this saves your phone and lets you take underwater photos and videos without stress. These are the ones we chose after reading all the reviews, plus they come in a double packaging which saves us money for our family of 6.

Towel Clips

Resort chairs + ocean breeze= towels flying everywhere. Our first all-inclusive we walked to the pool area and everyone had these clips and I didn’t know why, but at the end of our trip it was one thing that I knew we had to get for our next trip. These are small but game-changing.

Inflatable Pool Lounger

Listen…are pool floaties “necessary”? No. Do they instantly upgrade the vibe? Absolutely. Whether it’s a girls trip, bachelorette getaway, or just wanting that extra resort moment- a fun floatie makes the pool day better (and the pictures cuter). The 4 pack below were great for our group because they are easy to pack, self-inflate, and quick to deflate. Some people at resorts even leave them behind for the next people. If you’re in any resort group, sometimes you will see items posted and rooms they are left at.

Small Strategy Tip

When choosing floaties to include:

  • lightweight
  • easy to inflate and deflate
  • not oversized
  • good reviews
  • avoid super cheap ones

–Additional tip: Some resorts don’t inflate floaties for you, so you might need to bring a portable air pump if you plan to pack one. This one comes highly recommended: https://amzn.to/4qMcdrF

Oversized Beach Bag

You’ll want something that holds sunscreen, books, water bottles, and everything in between. This oversized tote is waterproof, and I love all the pockets on the outside.

Resort Evening Essentials

All-inclusives usually have dinner dress codes for the restaurants with reservations, doesn’t typically apply to buffets and a la carte places. These help you stay polished without overpacking.

Wrinkle Release Spray

Humidity + suitcases=wrinkles. This keeps outfits dinner-ready.
